Activities:

1. Student was given addition and subtraction problems involving decimals to the thousandths. Student used the standard algorithm to find the sums and differences of 2 numbers involving decimals. Place value was discussed and student understood in order to solve the expressions, the numbers had to align.

2. Student placed the answers to the expressions on a piece of paper and created a number line. Stuent placed the numbers in order from least to greatest.

1. Student was given a set of numbers and practiced finding the median of the number set. Student put the numbers in order from least to greatest and found the middle two numbers. Student found the median of the two numbers by adding the two numbers in the list that are in the middle of the number set and then divide by 2.

2. Student also found the mode of a data set by identifying the number that appears the most in the set.
